Harvested from two vineyards owned by longtime Lucas family friends—the Shinns and Petersons—this Chardonnay balances flavors from both sites: bright Pippin apple and ripe Bartlett pear.
Inspired by the grand houses of Burgundy, ⅔ of the wine was fermented in stainless steel, and ⅓ in French oak barrels with sur lie aging and bâtonnage to enhance body and ageability. The wine did not undergo malolactic fermentation, preserving its crisp acidity.
Known to age gracefully for up to 20 years, this Chardonnay is fresh yet layered, with aromas of orchard fruit, subtle citrus, and a clean, refreshing finish.
Pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, creamy pasta, and fresh seafood.
